Job summary

University of St. Francis is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator on the Joliet campus to oversee on-campus housing, supervise student staff, and manage residential operations within a Catholic Franciscan framework.

The role requires leading crisis response, developing programs, and coordinating with Campus Safety, Facilities, and Dining Services. Live-in housing is provided, with a salary that aligns with institutional pay scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
• Two to four years of progressive experience in residence life or housing.
• Demonstrated skills in supervision, housing operations, conflict resolution, and crisis response.
• Strong organizational, administrative, budgetary, and communication skills; ability to work autonomously.
• Willingness to support the Catholic Franciscan mission and foster an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operations management of the university's residence life and housing program.
• Oversee housing operations including applications, assignments, occupancy, and openings/closings.
• Manage residence life budget, records, housing software, and reporting.
• Coordinate withFacilities, Safety and Security, Dining Services and Admissions.
• Foster safe, welcoming residential communities and promote student learning and retention.
• Maintain a visible presence and build relationships with residential students.
• Develop residential programming aligned with the university's mission.
• Address conduct matters with educational and restorative approaches; refer serious cases as needed.
• Participate in crisis response rotation and coordinate with safety services.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate judgment and documentation.
• Refer students of concern to campus resources and participate in CARE team.
