Job summary

Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator to support students' personal, academic and social development through a live-in role in the residence halls. You will oversee a student staff, develop educational programs, handle housing operations and serve as conduct officer, with on-call rotations and coordinated recruitment events.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, campus residency, and experience in housing, crisis management, and conflict

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in student housing, including conflict mediation, housing databases, and crisis management.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide conflict mediation and resources to students.
Assist with hiring, training, and supervising Resident Assistants.
Assist with building and departmental operations (Move-In/Out, Desk Attendants, scheduling).
Oversee occupancy, room assignments, and hall equipment for designated building.
Participate in 24-hour on-call emergency assistance rotations.
Develop and oversee educational programs for residence hall students.
Serve as student conduct officer and investigator for Student Affairs and Residential Life.
