Job summary

WWBT in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Media Producer who blends master control operations with director duties for a fast-paced, 24/7 live television environment.

Three to five years in live television switching and directing, plus strong communication skills, are preferred. This temporary role may become permanent, with full-time hours Mon–Fri and shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years of television experience in Master Control Operations or Directing.
• Experience directing live newscasts and operating master control equipment.
• Familiarity with FCC compliance and live broadcast procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct live newscasts and manage master control operations.
• Operate robotic studio cameras and coordinate playback/ingestion.
• Ensure FCC compliance for programming and commercials.
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to maintain on‑air quality.
