WWBT in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Media Producer who blends master control operations with director duties for a fast-paced, 24/7 live television environment.

Three to five years in live television switching and directing, plus strong communication skills, are preferred. This temporary role may become permanent, with full-time hours Mon–Fri and shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years of television experience in Master Control Operations or Directing.
• Experience directing live newscasts and operating master control equipment.
• Familiarity with FCC compliance and live broadcast procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Summary/Description:

WWBT in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Media Producer to combine the roles of a traditional newscast director and master control operator in a fast‑paced, 24/7 live television environment. THIS TEMPORARY POSITION HAS THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING PERMANENT.

Key responsibilities include directing live newscasts using Ross Overdrive, operating robotic studio cameras, and managing the playback, ingestion, and FCC compliance of programming and commercial content. Successful candidates should have three to five years of experience in live television switching, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Switching live tv experience
• Master Control experience
• Directing newscasts
• Robotic studio camera operation

Qualifications/Requirements:
