Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Technical Director to switch fast-paced live news, pre-taped shows, and original programming.

You will lead a skilled control room team, calling up cameras, graphics, and video sources, while coordinating with Directors and editorial partners to ensure smooth productions. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in live news, strong control-room knowledge, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in a live news environment.
• Operational knowledge of all control room positions.
• Familiarity with live television and pre/post-production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Switch fast-paced live news broadcasts and pre-productions using the Kayenne switcher.
• Call up cameras, remotes, graphics, video, and stills per Director instructions.
• Direct short interviews or tapings when needed and build visual effects.
• Maintain equipment operation and document discrepancies in SOPs and reports.
• Provide peer training and collaborate with editorial, graphics, and management teams.
