Job summary

Opry Entertainment Group is seeking a Bartender to keep drinks flowing in our legendary music venues. You will mix cocktails, pour drinks, serve food, and deliver exceptional guest service in a high-energy atmosphere.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, following recipes, upselling, handling POS and cash, maintaining clean work areas, and complying with alcohol-service policies. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are common, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous bartending experience required; high-volume bar experience preferred.
• POS and cash handling experience required.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and sincere welcome.
• Follow recipes and established techniques to prepare and serve drinks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menus and daily specials; upsell to boost sales.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas; restock ice, beverages, kegs, and supplies.
• Address guest needs and resolve issues with a professional attitude.
• Communicate daily entertainment and upcoming events in venue.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service and ID checks.
• Handle cash and operate POS terminals, reconcile end of shift.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and perform opening/closing duties.
• Maintain clean dining and bar areas and comply with sanitation procedures.
• Perform inventory, product rotation and date labeling.
• Report accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
