Job summary

Gray Media, Inc. is seeking a Live Master Control Pivot Operator to manage the technical execution and quality control of live sporting events and local programming. This role requires monitoring signals, ensuring FCC compliance, and precise switching across broadcasts from the Centralcast Hub in Atlanta.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a high-volume MCR environment, familiarity with Morpheus and Crispin systems, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume Live Master Control setting.
• Experience with live sports or local programming preferred.
• Ability to operate under FCC regulations and company quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor transmitter signals and audio/video levels to ensure on-air quality.
• Execute switching, insert commercials, and manage EAS where required.
• Maintain a detailed master control log of on-air activities and timing adjustments.
• Provide vacation relief and cover multiple shifts (2nd/3rd with some 1st shifts).
