Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group seeks a Senior Associate for Live Service to provide pre-trade and post-trade operational support, ensuring market stability and resilience in extended trading hours.

Reporting to the Manager, Live Service, the role sits at the heart of the LSE 24/5 operating model and collaborates with Sales, Product, Technology, and CCPs to support market operations and improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role supporting financial clients.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to work flexibly across extended trading hours.
• Experience in professional, client-focused environments with detailed processes and procedures.
• Confident, team-oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of equities and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Support extended-hours trading operations as part of the LSE 24/5 operating model, handling and resolving live-service and post-trade issues to ensure market stability and client service.
• Act as an operational escalation point for market events and incidents, coordinating with business, technology, and external partners for timely resolution.
• Undertake market recovery actions for the LSE 24/5 market including site recovery, late market starts, halts, resumptions, and instrument suspensions.
• Provide real-time operational support for market activities across the LSE 24/5 market.
• Perform structured shift handovers and maintain operational continuity across regional teams.
• Identify and minimize risks in pre-trade and post-trade operations by reviewing risk indicators and tracking actions.
• Lead and maintain real-time instrument and reference data.
• First-line operational support contact for client queries and disputes.
• Collaborate across products, teams, and business areas to deliver robust services and drive improvements.
• Desk coverage proposed from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Provide weekend and bank holiday coverage as needed.
• Partner with Project Managers, Technology, and Sales/Trading teams on system enhancements.
• Assist in resolving technical and production issues and incidents.
• Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in internal projects focused on process improvement and regulatory change.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
