Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Associate to support real-time and post-trade supervision across LSE 24. You will monitor activity, investigate anomalies, and escalate issues to maintain orderly markets.

You will analyse data, prepare investigation summaries, and collaborate with Compliance, Technology and Regulatory teams across multiple time zones. The role offers an incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial markets, market operations, surveillance or compliance.
• Ability to analyse data and identify trends or unusual activity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow procedures and make decisions in time-sensitive environments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and market participants.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time and post-trade monitoring of LSE 24 activity, identify unusual trading behaviour and events.
• Investigate and escalate unusual trading patterns, potential market abuse indicators and rule breaches.
• Support monitoring of trading halts, volatility events, and other market incidents outside UK hours.
• Analyse trading data, surveillance outputs and market information to support investigations.
• Prepare clear investigation summaries, reports and management information.
• Respond to member firm enquiries and assist with supervisory follow-up activities.
• Apply knowledge of LSEG rules, market structure and venue controls when reviewing activity.
• Support maintenance and improvement of surveillance controls and playbooks.
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Technology and Regulatory teams across time zones.
• Contribute to testing, readiness activities and process improvements for LSE 24.
