Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Flex Houseparents to provide daily supervision and mentorship to students in a two-person, married couple team. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreation, and leading daily devotions.

Initially, couples will cover nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent living with the same student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
