Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home.

As a two-person role, you will supervise, plan activities, manage routines, lead devotions, and help students grow academically, emotionally, and socially while ensuring safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role; couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines, student schedules, and reporting.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
