Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Flex Houseparents to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of students in a safe, caring home environment.

The two-person role requires marriage for at least two years and both spouses aged 27 or older. Responsibilities include managing household routines, driving to activities, devotions, budgeting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role requires at least two years of marriage.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older and reside in the student home.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Flex Houseparents work nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off.
• Eventually transition into Placed Houseparent living with the same student group.
