Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and guiding 8–13 students. The role emphasizes daily supervision, mentoring, and fostering a structured, family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include schedule management, devotions, Chapel attendance, and health/wellness supervision, with a schedule of nine on-duty days followed by three off days, transitioning

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
Managing household routines and student schedules.
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
