Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator to support a safe, engaging residential community on campus. The role includes supervising up to 20 Resident Assistants and overseeing operations for residence halls housing up to 400 students, on a 10-month live-in professional schedule.

Reporting to an Associate or Assistant Director, you will contribute to staff development, residence education programs, and collaboration with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required for the Residential Education Specialist - Intermediate Professional path.
• Bachelor’s Degree required for the Residential Education Specialist - Professional path.
• No prior relevant work experience required for either path.
• No certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: supervise and mentor Resident Assistants and conduct regular meetings.
• Student Development & Residence Education: assist planning and assessment of residence education programs.
• Administrative Operations: help with day‑to‑day management and safety of facilities.
• Community Development: foster meaningful connections and plan community-building activities.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in committees and recruitment training.
