Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator to foster a vibrant on-campus living community for 300-500 students. The role supports a professional Residence Life team, supervises 10-30 student staff, and reports to the Assistant Director of Residence Life while coordinating with campus partners.

The position is a 12-month live-in role with flexible scheduling and on-call rotations, emphasizing student learning and development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree completed by start of employment.
• Experience in educational or community development environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive residential experience that promotes learning and retention.
• Develop connections with residents through daily informal interactions, scheduled meetings, and events.
• Oversee programming focused on respect, inclusion, community, learning and responsibility.
• Supervise 10–30 student staff and advise a Community Council.
• Promote a safe living environment and respond to crises with campus partners.
• Coordinate facilities and desk operations to maintain a well-run residential community.
