Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) seeks a Residential Life Coordinator in Auburn, WA, to provide live-in leadership for a 12-building dormitory area serving 340 residents. You will oversee student staff, enforce policies, and develop engaging programming to foster a diverse, welcoming campus living community.

You will coordinate housing operations with Directors, supervise Resident Assistants, conduct trainings, and lead large-scale events while maintaining conduct records and on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1–2 years of experience in student housing, residence life, or a related higher education setting.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, safety guidelines, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and related documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, draft correspondence, and present information to groups of students, staff, college leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to live on-site and serve on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership for student staff supervision, conduct, and large-scale programming.
• Support the Director and Assistant Director with housing operations as requested.
• Supervise the Resident Assistants in their planning, promotion, and execution of programs.
• Facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities for staff and student leaders.
• Coordinate and prepare student staffing for quarterly openings and closings.
• Hold weekly staff and one-on-one meetings with the Resident Assistants.
• Work to develop a sense of community among all residents through ongoing programmatic initiatives.
• Lead coordination of health and safety inspections of units.
• Collaborate with Campus Life to hire, select, and train Resident Assistants and Student Leaders.
• Assist with roommate and community conflicts. Coordinate resident room changes as needed
• Coordinate large scale community programming for the community.
• Coordinate and lead residential orientation and welcome events.
• Serve as primary housing hearing officer for student conduct hearings.
