Job summary

Sacramento State is seeking a Residence Hall Coordinator (SSP II) to foster a positive living-learning environment and support student success. The role includes supervising resident staff, advising student organizations, and managing hall operations in a 12-month live-in position.

Responsibilities include implementing conduct policies, responding to safety issues, and collaborating with AD/ADRE for complex cases. Requires relevant university housing experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Two years of professional experience in a student services area or related field; a master’s degree may substitute for one year.
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop a positive community atmosphere in assigned living environment to support student development and academic success.
Assist students in progressing toward degree objectives and encourage use of campus resources.
Implement and carry out University Housing Services conduct within the community; handle higher-level conduct issues with AD/ADRE.
Serve as first responder for safety, crisis, and emergencies; oversee daily building administration and operations.
Lead 1-2 residence halls and supervise 6-14 Resident Advisors, 8-14 Desk Attendants, and 1-4 graduate students; advise Hall Council and provide academic advising.
