Job summary

Illinois State University in Normal, IL seeks a Residence Hall Coordinator to provide year-round leadership for one or more residence halls. The RHC supervises programming and staff, enforces policy and supports student development.

This is a 12-month, full-time, live-in position with an annually renewable contract for up to five years. Work hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends in a crisis on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (US equivalent) required.
• At least two years of part-time administrative experience at hire.
• Travel between residential buildings and respond to critical incidents within 10 minutes.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide year-round leadership for one or more residence halls.
• Supervise programming for students, staff, and residents.
• Serve on University Housing Services Professional Staff Standing Committee.
• Handle conduct cases and sanctions per policy.
• Assist in advising registered student organizations in residential communities.
• Foster a residential environment conducive to learning.
