Job summary

Edconic is seeking a Senior Program Advisor for the Pre‑College program at San Jose State University. The role supports a safe, engaging living and learning community on campus, under the Residential Hall Director.

This live‑in position offers housing, up to 40 hours weekly, and requires collaboration with counselors and staff. The role emphasizes supervision of student counselors, program delivery, and ensuring adherence to campus policies, with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and student

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree or currently in college required; 2+ years of residential life experience preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Two references required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program counselors and provide advisement to students residing on campus.
• Assist in housing check‑in/check‑out and ensure policies are understood.
• Plan and support co‑curricular activities and events with the team.
• Maintain student safety by following the Student and Family Handbook and reporting incidents.
