Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities.

This is a seasonal, contract position (May–Sept) with full-time, exempt status, a minimum 6-day/70-hour week, and live-in expectations. You will oversee daily culinary operations, lead staff, manage budgets and allergen safety, and maintain top sanitation standards while delivering scratch-cooked meals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and computer literacy.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee culinary flow, portion control, scratch cooking, and meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory, purchasing, and daily reporting within budget.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, leadership, and Wolfoods office.
