Job summary

Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, is seeking a Housing Operations Coordinator to support room selection and assignment processes, manage break housing, assist with summer residents and conferences, and oversee desk operations.

This 12-month live-in position reports to the Assistant Director for Housing Operations and requires a Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years in Residence Life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-3 years experience in Residence Life.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with management of Housing database for room selection and assignment, room condition and damage billing, meal plan assignment and billing.
• Plan and implement comprehensive Break Housing program to include promotion of break housing, coordination with campus partners, application process, oversee approval of applications, maintenance of rosters, coordination of required security for break periods, assessment of billing for individual students.
• Coordinate on-campus vendor services, manage storage room, furniture, and moving bin inventories. Support Central Office management through ordering supplies, managing calls and walk-ins, responding to emails in [e-mail] mailbox, and supporting the Office Assistant student workers.
• Promote housing services to maximize occupancy using multimedia to reach audience.
• Oversee Desk Assistants including hiring, scheduling, training.
• Serve as on-campus on-call for professional staff emergencies, nights and weekends as scheduled.
