Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks a full-time Flex Houseparent couple to live in on-campus homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students. You will mentor, plan routines, drive to activities, and lead devotions while supporting students' academic, emotional, and social growth.

Posture emphasizes stability, trust, and role modeling. Upon hire, couples begin nine days on duty, followed by three days off, then progress to a placed home with the same students.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not allowed on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students in the home.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel with students.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Work a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle initially, then transition to a placed home with the same group.
