Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role places couples in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Houseparents follow a nine-on / three-off duty schedule, with drivers on weekdays and transitioning to a placed home later.

Formación

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and lead developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
