Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students.

The role supports student development in academics, emotions, and social growth within a structured, family-like environment. Flex Houseparents work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, progressing to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models to students.

Responsabilités

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
