Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students living in the home.

The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Responsibilities include supervision, schedules, wellness, and devotional activities, plus budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• Max three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and potential van certification.
• Able to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan development/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
