Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents to live on campus and care for a group of 8-13 students in a family-like setting. The two-person couple role requires at least a two-year marriage and age 27+, with duties including supervision, budgeting, and coordinating activities.

Responsibilities also include leading daily devotions, transporting students to events, and ensuring wellness, safety, and a supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
