Milton Hershey School seeks two-person Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. This full-time role combines care, guidance, and supervision with a nine-on/three-off schedule and eventual placement in a single home.

Both spouses must be married at least two years, age 27+, and meet safety and licensing requirements. You will lead devotions, drive to activities, manage routines, and assist with budgeting, while benefiting from a $46,917 per person salary

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; able to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Able to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
