Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks a married couple to serve as full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. You will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that promotes academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role requires two spouses, 27+ years old, with a high school diploma or GED. Housing, meals, and benefits are included; relocation/training assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans.
• Lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff are role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
