Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents (a married couple) to live on campus and care for a group of 8-13 students. They will supervise daily routines, mentor students, and support wellness, recreation, and spiritual activities.

Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be 27 or older, and meet the stated requirements. The role includes on-campus housing, a nine-days-on/two-off schedule, and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with marriage duration of at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapons-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets allowed are fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
