Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents—two married individuals—on-campus to supervise 8-13 students and foster a family-like environment. Roles begin with nine days on, three off, then transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medications, activities, devotions, and budgeting. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, training, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
