Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision and support for 8-13 students a home.

The role includes supervising daily routines, driving to activities, leading devotions, and coordinating budgets. Both spouses must be at least 27 years old and married for two years. Successful candidates start with nine days on, followed by three off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year marriage required for both spouses.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreation activities.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel with students.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
