Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents for couples. They reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students and guiding academic, emotional, and social development.

The role requires a married two-person team, ages 27+, with a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities include overseeing routines, devotions, transportation, budgeting, and reporting, with a nine-on/two-off cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role for married partners at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel with students.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
