Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, driving students to activities, and leading devotions. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and can lead to a placed houseparent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
