Job summary

Visiting Angels of Fredericksburg is seeking compassionate care professionals to join our award-winning home care team. We offer one-on-one client care, flexible scheduling, and meaningful, purpose-filled work.

Positions available: Companion Care Providers, PCAs, HHAs, CNAs, and Skilled Care Professionals, both part-time and full-time, with competitive earnings, weekly pay options, and opportunities for CEUs and career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active PCA, NA, or CNA certification is required or in process.
• Ability to pass a background check, reference check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and care.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers inside and outside the home.
• Administer medication reminders and daily errands.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and care (bathing, showering, dressing, and eating).
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers inside and outside the home (for example: walks, exercise, or doctor appointments).
• Administer medication reminders and assist with daily errands.
• Engage clients in meaningful everyday activities and companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in the event of an emergency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active certification/license: PCA, NA, or CNA.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare, home care, or hospitality settings.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• A supportive, compassionate nature with a passion for one-on-one client care.
• Ability to pass a state-mandated background check, reference check, and drug screen.
