Job summary

Visiting Angels of Southern Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Live-In Care Specialist to help seniors remain at home with safety, comfort and companionship. As a caregiver, you’ll assist with ADLs and iADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation.

The role offers a weekly pay of about $1,889 (based on $12.77 hourly with overtime) plus benefits like referral bonuses, Tela-doc services and free CE units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PCA/Nurse Aide Course Completion Certificate or CNA license required.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare/in-home care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with ADLs and iADLs, meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Transport to and from appointments and run errands as needed.
• Offer warm, compassionate companionship and support.

What does a Live-In Angel Care Specialist position entail?

Provide assistance with ADLs and iADLs to our clients, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to & from appointments (typically in our client's vehicle), assist with errands, and warm, friendly companionship.

• Separate sleeping quarters & bathroom arrangedwhile working on live-in cases.
• Meals provided
• Earnapproximately $1,889 a week (based on hourly rate of $12.77 with overtime) as a Live-In Care Specialist!

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• PCA (personal care aide), Nurse Aide Course Completion Certificate, or CNA (certified nursing assistant) license
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year) preferred
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Auto Insurance
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
