Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Director for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee daily culinary and service operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in position requires a strong leader who can manage a team across FOH and kitchen, ensure high-quality scratch cooking, and maintain strict sanitation standards while delivering exceptional camper experiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train FOH and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee scratch cooking, portion control, menu specs, and timely meal service.
• Manage allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and health standards.
• Handle inventory, food orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods HQ.
