Clinton Management is seeking an Assistant Resident Manager to support two residential properties, Grand Concourse and Cross-Roads, in a hybrid on-site operations role. You will supervise day-to-day maintenance, coordinate repairs with the on-site team and vendors, manage work orders, and assist with inspections, turnovers, and compliance tasks to uphold building standards and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in Handyman or Resident Manager Assistant role in a rental Building.
• Working knowledge of city, state and federal programs and regulations.
• Experience with repairs, maintenance, mechanical functions.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, residents and vendors.
• Proficient with emails Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proactive problem solving and initiative.
• Customer service orientation under pressure.
• Able to respond quickly to emergencies (Gas, Fire, Flood).
• Hands-on property maintenance capability.
• Experience with Yardi Maintenance IQ.
• Work closely with RM and Facilities team.
• Submit Daily Recaps to Supervisor RM.
• Licensed Standpipe, Sprinkler, FACP a plus.
• Bilingual a plus; rental building experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete general maintenance repairs related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, water features, and waste management systems.
• Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and unit turnovers with the Resident Manager, Property Manager, Facilities team, and maintenance staff.
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to residents by addressing maintenance requests, inquiries, and concerns.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and preventative maintenance reviews; create work orders and ensure completion within compliance timelines.
• Maintain workplace safety and follow company policies and compliance requirements.
• Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and document unit conditions; coordinate follow-up repairs.
• Support vacant unit turnovers with punch lists and task delegation; monitor timely completion.
• Assist with scheduled evictions per SOP.
• Prepare and submit weekly inventory updates to RM/PM.
• Assist with required reports (incident, management, daily recaps).
• Review pending work orders to decide in-house vs vendor outsourcing; coordinate approved vendors.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly (building and resident-related).
• Perform other duties as assigned by RM/PM.
