Job summary

The City of Sandy Springs is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead backstage and production operations at City Springs and the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.

You will oversee lighting, audio, staging, rigging, projections, and scenic support, supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate with clients, and ensure safe, high-quality events across venues.

This role also serves as Safety Warden and participates in strategic planning and policy development.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a performing arts center environment.
• Experience coordinating with IATSE and non-union crews.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Theatrical Production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production operations for rental and presented events at City Springs.
• Develop floor plans and light plots using CAD.
• Meet with clients to assess technical needs and provide solutions.
• Manage production budgets and charges in Momentus.
• Hire, schedule, train, and supervise technical staff and stagehands.
