Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all facilities and services at the Lansing site. You will direct daily operations, manage budgets and vendor relations, and ensure safety compliance during events.

This salaried role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate cross‑department teams, contractors, and public agencies to deliver outstanding live events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a major in Management or Maintenance Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising or managing in a similar facility.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Directs, schedules all Operations, including Building and Grounds, Event Conversion, ADA compliance, and Custodial Services.
• Coordinates Operations activities with other departments and event-related contractors to ensure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.
• Implements and updates facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures all events are built, advanced, and fulfilled at the highest level with the event management and event operation team.
• Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
• Ensures that the Operations Department receives pertinent information for the most effective use of the facility and staffing.
• Authorizes the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Provides yearly inventory of all equipment.
• Develops policies and procedures to ensure best practice of compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Develops a program to train all employees on Fire/Life Safety, Emergency, and OSHA procedures.
• Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints.
• Conducts periodic staff meetings to discuss procedures, problems, and policy changes.
• Negotiates with vendors, unions, contractors, and/or service providers.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules, emergency procedures, safety, and Risk Management policies in compliance with all Corporate and governmental regulations.
• Liaises with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
• Serves as MOD (Manager on Duty) as required.
