Job summary

Oak View Group in Illinois is seeking a Concession Bartender to serve beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in a fast-paced environment. The role requires reliable attendance and availability for events per business needs, with an hourly wage of $15.40 and tip eligibility under the current CBA.

Responsibilities include maintaining guest service excellence, following bar notes and menus, upselling, measuring pours, verifying IDs, handling cash, and keeping a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Proficient on a POS system.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Current Illinois Basset Certificate required.
• Bartending school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following menu and state guidelines.
• Upsell products to guests and maintain knowledge of drink offerings.
• Pour drinks accurately and check guest IDs per regulations.
• Manage cash and operate the bar cash bank.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work station and bar equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar area and cooler organization.
• Escalate intoxicated guest situations to management or security as needed.
