Job summary

Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) in Denver, CO is seeking an Event Captain (Part-Time) to oversee event operations for 60–80 events annually. Responsibilities include managing BEOs, coordinating vendors, and serving as liaison with clients to ensure flawless execution.

The role supports a wide range of venues with a focus on customer service, production, and front-of-house management, including crisis response when needed. Must be available for mornings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in events or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and personable demeanor required.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, nights and weekends.
• Ability to manage live events and coordinate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and timelines.
• Oversight of contracted vendors and staff during setup, event and strike.
• Production and Floor Manager during events and rehearsals as needed.
• Coordinate with presenters, staff, and technicians for smooth show flow.
• Act as Crisis Team Leader and manage emergencies when required.
