A leading event support company in Oak Brook is hiring an Event Setup Crew member to assist with live events and hotel functions. Responsibilities include handling equipment, assisting with setup and teardown, and maintaining a clean work area. The ideal candidate is reliable and professional, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. No AV experience is necessary, as training will be provided. This role requires reliable transportation to the work location.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Reliable transportation to Oak Brook and nearby venues.

Responsibilities

• Load in/out equipment and safely handle cases, stands, cables, and accessories.
• Assist with setup and strike of audio, video, and lighting equipment.
• Run and tape cable neatly, maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Follow direction from lead technicians and communicate professionally on-site.
• Help maintain organization of gear before and after events.

Skills

Reliable, punctual, and professional in guest-facing environments

Willingness to learn and follow safety and quality standards

Basic AV handling or willingness to learn
