Job summary
City of Greensboro, NC seeks a VDPS Assistant to support the Van Dyke Performance Space with customer service, house management, and tech support for events. Duties include operating lighting and sound systems, assisting renters and performers, and ensuring the smooth execution of performances and programs.
Work is on an on-call roster, primarily evenings and weekends. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma, 3+ years in customer service, 1–3 years in a performing arts environment operating
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3+ years in a performing arts environment operating lighting and sound.
- 3+ years in positions with customer service responsibilities.
- Experience with events/live theatrical productions.
- Experience with EOS lighting software and lighting hardware management.
- Experience managing and operating audio equipment in a theater space.
- Experience with MS Office, QLab or similar, and projector equipment.
Responsibilities
- Support activation of the Van Dyke Performance Space with customer service, house management, and technical support for events.
- Operate lighting and sound systems and assist renters and performers to ensure smooth performances.
