Job summary

Alliance Defending Freedom in Lansdowne, VA seeks a Live Event Producer to own the technical and creative production of its portfolio of live and virtual events, including seminars, conferences, webinars, and fundraisers. You will direct AV technicians and vendors from planning through teardown, guiding show flow, audio, lighting, video, and livestream.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in media production, sound engineering, theater, communications, or related field.
5+ years of live event production, broadcast, or AV direction with demonstrated concept development.
Knowledge of staging, audio, video, lighting, and livestreaming principles.
Ability to direct technicians, freelancers, and vendors.
Experience show-calling and managing run-of-show documents for complex events.
Willingness to travel and work on-site, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead production design for events, from planning through live execution and post-event archival.
Develop and communicate production schedules, run-of-show docs, and technical specs.
Ensure accessibility (captioning) and licensing for music, video, and imagery.
Oversee AV equipment, maintenance, and upgrades; manage budgets and contingencies.
Direct AV staff, freelancers, and vendors; manage vendor/venue relationships; ensure safety and compliance.
Collaborate with Communications, Development, Legal, and other teams to align with branding and mission; serve as primary technical contact for stakeholders.
Research and pilot new production technologies; report to Production Manager.
