Job summary

The Atlantic Council seeks a talented Audiovisual Manager to provide AV support for 500+ live, virtual and hybrid events per year from our Washington, DC headquarters. The role requires broad technical know-how, event production, and project management expertise.

This position entails operating cameras, switchers, audio, lighting, teleprompter, and conferencing systems; coordinating rehearsals; briefing talent; and collaborating with Event Coordinators and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of AV production experience.
• BA degree preferred in AV production, engineering, or related field.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate video switcher, robotic cameras, audio mixer, microphones, lighting, and virtual platforms.
• Manage stage cues, briefing on-camera talent, and audience addressing.
• Operate teleprompter and manage scripts.
• Conduct coordination meetings and technical rehearsals.
• Coordinate AV needs with Event Coordinator and program POCs.
• Oversee vendors for interpretation, teleprompter, and production needs when applicable.
• Create static/animated graphics for lower thirds, animations, and in-studio displays.
• Configure and troubleshoot videoconferencing systems.
