Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is hiring a Security Specialist to patrol and protect our complex, screen visitors, and respond to incidents. The role supports performances and events with flexible hours across two office buildings, multi-use theatre spaces, and associated facilities in Denver, CO.

The position requires reliability, strong communication, and ability to work with diverse teams. A Denver Security Guard License and CPR/First Aid training are required, with

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience preferred.
• Ability to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and interactive skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Good judgment under pressure and handling sensitive information.
• Must obtain Denver Security Guard License and CPR/First Aid training.
• Experience with security systems and surveillance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds and report incidents to leadership.
• Perform entry screening and crowd management; operate screening equipment.
• Maintain safety practices and participate in safety programs.
• Document incidents promptly and accurately.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response as part of Crisis Management Team.
• Respond to medical, evacuation, safety, theft, or fire incidents.
• Investigate incidents and document findings; follow up as needed.
• Provide safety escorts and manage lost and found operations.
• Oversee custody of belongings and related procedures.
