Job summary

NEP Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced broadcast engineer to support on-site television production. The role involves handling baseband routing, camera systems, and audio/visual facilities for live events and productions.

The candidate should have strong experience with multi-camera rooms, broadcast equipment, and client-facing service, with the ability to perform maintenance and support across NEP Studios’ systems.

Qualifications

  • Associates or technical degree preferred; various forms of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2 years of technical experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with video signal generating equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with a live, multi-camera room preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.

Responsibilities

  • Program Evertz EQX baseband router.
  • Operate Grass Valley Kayenne switchers and Sony HDC-2500 cameras.
  • Interface with clients and provide high level of service.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast system.
  • Manage and monitor broadcast system engineering operations at NEP Studios.
  • Direct crew activities and ensure proper set-up of equipment.
  • Maintain expense and technical reports per show.
  • Other duties as assigned.
