Job summary

Paramount is seeking a Broadcast Media Operations Specialist to ensure content is ready for linear, streaming, and VOD distribution. You will manage live ingest, media processing, QC, and downstream distribution across multiple platforms with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and customer service.

You will work with cross-functional teams including Broadcast Operations, Engineering, Product, and the GMC to optimize workflows and support scheduled programming, live events, and rapid-turnaround

Qualifications

• Experience supporting broadcast operations, media processing, and digital encoding/related media tech.
• Solid understanding of broadcast video/audio formats, codecs, containers, frame rates, aspect ratios, and delivery specs.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot video, audio, captions, metadata, and automated media workflows.
• Experience with QC tools (waveform monitors, vectorscopes, audio metering).
• Working knowledge of closed caption formats (SCC, STL, SRT).
• Understanding of end-to-end enterprise media workflows and downstream distribution.
• Familiar with enterprise file transfer tech (Aspera, Signiant).
• Proven ability to analyze complex workflows and remain calm under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate live media operations across ingest, processing, and downstream distribution.
• Perform media QC, basic editing, and caption validation using professional tools.
• Manage automated media processing workflows across locations; monitor ingest and packaging.
• Verify content readiness for playout on multiple platforms and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Escalate operational issues and collaborate with engineering, product, and vendor teams to restore service.
