Job summary

Cox Media Group is seeking a Master Control Switcher for KLSR/KEVU to monitor and deliver on-air signals, set up automated playlists, and oversee transmitter distribution.

You will operate automation systems, content delivery tools, and log discrepancies while coordinating with Programming, Engineering, and Production. This role requires attentiveness, independence, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Understanding of broadcast signal standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and pay attention to detail.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and accuracy of KLSR & KEVU air signals between programs and commercials.
• Operate automation system, video servers, satellite receivers, and related systems.
• Acquire and prepare content for broadcast.
• Run live sporting and other events.
• Log discrepancies, maintain transmitter log, and monitor signals.
• Coordinate with Programming, Traffic, Engineering, and Production departments.
• Maintain communication with key staff during shift and assist departments to promote quality broadcasting.
• Maintain punctuality to ensure stations are operated on-time.
• Perform other related duties as required.
