Job summary
Gray Media, Inc. is seeking a Master Control Operator for KYTV/KSPR-TV in Springfield, MO to monitor on-air content, control video and audio workflows, and support live newscasts.
The role requires hands-on experience with broadcast equipment and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnights. The candidate should have basic TV production knowledge, familiarity with ENPS and Ross/Cambotics, and the ability to respond quickly to breaking news while coordinating with
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of TV video production.
- Videotape experience - familiarity with multiple tape and tapeless formats.
- General knowledge of TV broadcasting.
- Working knowledge of Crispin Video Server.
- Working knowledge of Ross Overdrive and Cambotics.
- Basic knowledge of ENPS.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
- Operate the master control automation.
- Oversee battery changes in wireless mics, IFBs, and anchor/reporter setups.
- Code scripts through ENPS.
- Anticipate and prepare for breaking news.
- Monitor program streams to ensure correct programming and commercial run times.
- Prepare the electronic playlist for program streams.
- Ingest commercials and other material into the automation system.
